StoryTribe is a browser-based pre-production and storyboarding tool for filmmakers, agency teams, educators and UX practitioners. It brings script preparation, scene and shot organization, storyboard creation and animatics into one workflow. Users can import supported script files or paste text, edit shot details in a table, and build frames from editable characters, backgrounds and props. Small teams developing scripted storyboards and animatics are its clearest fit; those needing a dedicated native app should look elsewhere, since the product is described as browser-based.
The storyboard workflow extends into timed animatics, with transitions, music and voice-over, so teams can review pacing as well as individual frames. Reusable, customizable characters can be posed across shots and projects. Storyboards export as PDF, PPTX, PNG or JPG, while shot lists can be exported as CSV, XLSX or PDF. These tools make StoryTribe more than a frame-layout utility: it also supports planning and sharing production materials. The published features do not describe a broader editing suite, so teams seeking one application for the full production process may prefer a more expansive tool.
Pricing has a usable free starting point: Free includes unlimited projects and 100 monthly AI credits, but downloads and exports are watermarked. Pro Yearly costs $12.99 per user per month with annual billing, and adds 1,500 monthly AI credits, unlimited shots per project, and watermark-free, high-resolution exports. Studio Yearly costs $23 per user per month with annual billing; it adds 2,500 pooled AI credits per seat, a shared workspace, live editing, comments and mentions. Teams needing collaborative review should consider Studio; solo users or smaller teams can start on Free or weigh Pro if export quality and shot limits matter more than shared editing.
