StatMD is a browser-based audience-response platform for medical classrooms, continuing medical education, workshops and conferences. Teachers can run live polls, word clouds, open Q&A with upvoting, and timed scored quizzes with live leaderboards. Participants join from phones using a QR code or short join code, without an app or account. It is best suited to medical educators who need both live engagement and competency-oriented reporting.
The Free plan supports up to 40 participants per session, three saved quizzes, polls, word clouds, Q&A and CSV export. Pro costs INR 199 per month and removes the participant cap, adds unlimited saved quizzes, all 14 question types, a blueprint exam paper-builder, CBME reports and competency analytics. The INR 500 Event pass provides all Pro features for seven days without auto-renewal. Departments can choose INR 999 per month or INR 9999 per year for 5–10 faculty accounts, a shared quiz bank, department branding and priority support. Event support costs INR 5000 per event and includes done-for-you setup and operation, a QR code, live screen, and attendance and results exports.
Assessment depth is the main reason to consider StatMD. Question formats include true/false, rating, numeric, image hotspot, matching, multiple response, audio and video questions, alongside self-paced and take-home quizzes. PowerPoint add-ins let educators launch questions and display live results within presentations. The platform is available on web, Windows and macOS, while Microsoft PowerPoint is the listed integration. StatMD should appeal to medical programs that value blueprinting and CBME analytics at a low monthly Pro price. Organizations needing a broader integration ecosystem or wider platform coverage should compare alternatives.
