Spline review
A flexible web-first 3D tool with strong interactive publishing and collaboration.

Spline is a web-based platform for creating interactive 3D and 2D experiences. It brings modeling with primitives and editable objects, sculpting brushes, materials, lighting, cameras, animation, physics, particles, and event-driven interactivity into one workspace. Designers, developers, marketers, teams, and creators can use it for interactive digital experiences, with access through web, Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android.
The pricing structure makes Spline approachable for individual exploration while separating higher-value publishing and production features by tier. The Free plan includes limited personal files, unlimited file viewers, watermarked web exports, and access to the Spline Library. Hobby costs $15 per seat per month and adds unlimited 3D and 2D files, video upload, watermark-free web exports, higher-resolution image exports, and material and audio libraries. Pro costs $30 per seat per month and adds video export, unlimited scenes per file, Apple and Android exports, plus unlimited Variables, APIs, and Webhooks. Max costs $70 per seat per month and includes 10,000 AI credits per month, more media generation, and higher MCP tool call limits. Enterprise adds centralized licensing, team privacy, SAML single sign-on, code and self-hosted exports, and priority support.
Its strongest fit is interactive web design where publishing and embedding matter as much as modeling. Integrations include Webflow, Framer, Wix Studio, HTML/JS, React, Next.js, Swift, and Kotlin, while features cover AI-assisted 3D generation, textures, multiplayer collaboration, and STL export. Pro or Max is required for STL export. Choose Spline if browser-based creation, motion, collaboration, and web integrations are central to the work. Consider another 3D modeling tool if the priority is a different modeling workflow or if watermark-free web publishing and advanced exports are not needed.
