A broad web toolkit for small UX teams, with advanced analysis and a free beta tier.

SORTREE is a web-based UX research platform for researchers, product teams, agencies, students and educators. It combines open, closed and hybrid card sorting with tree testing, first-click tests and five-second tests. Studies can be shared through participant links without requiring participant accounts, making it suitable for small teams conducting varied research projects from a browser.
The published plans show a Free tier with one research project, 50 responses per test, all four research methods, a full results dashboard, CSV export and an AI card-sorting preview during beta. Pro costs €39 per month or €390 per year, raises capacity to unlimited projects and 1,000 responses per month, and retains the same research and export features. Team costs €89 per month and adds shared projects for small teams and agencies. Prices exclude VAT, and current private-beta access is free while paid plans are planned for after launch.
Analysis is a central strength: SORTREE offers similarity matrices, category-frequency analysis, navigation maps, heatmaps and first-click variant comparison. Its AI preview simulates 200 card-sorting runs using semantic analysis and bootstrap runs, but it is explicitly in beta. The platform runs in the cloud on the web, lists GDPR compliance, and provides email and documentation support. Choose SORTREE if you need several study formats, structured analysis and a free entry point in one tool. Teams needing established paid-plan availability, non-web deployment or a response allowance beyond Pro’s monthly limit should consider alternatives.
