Sonoton review
A searchable production-music catalog with licensing for audiovisual projects.

Sonoton is an independent production-music library for professionals sourcing music for television, film, advertising and online media. Its searchable catalog and licensing information are aimed at production teams and organizations that need music rights for audiovisual work, rather than listeners looking for a consumer streaming service. The company is based in Munich, Germany, and serves mid-market and enterprise needs.
The product centers on finding music and arranging rights for a production. Catalog browsing by music categories can help narrow a search, while the licensing information addresses usage rights for professional projects. Sonoton supports audiovisual licensing, but access, permitted use and fees depend on the intended production and territory. That makes the licensing conversation central to choosing a track, not a step to treat as interchangeable with a general-purpose music subscription. Professional licensing support is available by email.
Sonoton uses a contact-sales pricing model, so buyers should be prepared to discuss the planned production and territory to understand licensing terms and costs. The published product information does not indicate a self-serve consumer offer; its stated focus is music-rights and licensing services. That structure suits enterprise teams seeking production music with professional licensing support, particularly when project-specific usage needs matter. It is less suited to individual listeners seeking on-demand streaming or buyers who need a published catalog-license price before contacting the vendor.
