Software Ideas Modeler is a Windows desktop CASE and diagramming application for software developers, architects, analysts, and designers. It covers UML, SysML, BPMN, ERD, ArchiMate, flowcharts, user stories, wireframes, and screen-flow diagrams, so it fits teams that need user flows alongside software design and analysis work. The application also includes change tracking, model versioning, diagram templates, documentation generation, and optional server cooperation tools. It is available for Windows 10 and Windows 11, with older versions documented for Linux and macOS through Mono.

The pricing structure follows a freemium model with four editions. Standard includes basic options, UML and basic diagrams, and is free for non-commercial use. Premium adds almost all diagram types, source-code generation and parsing, plus wireframing and screen-flow diagrams. Professional adds documentation generation, diagram generation, a model navigator, and auto export. Ultimate includes the complete feature set, project comparison, cooperation tools, model versioning, and diagram templates. Paid editions have a 30-day trial and require a license afterward. According to the vendor's pricing page, edition pricing is presented with USD and EUR selectors.

Its strongest distinction is breadth rather than a narrow focus on user-flow mapping. Reverse engineering covers assemblies, databases, and schemas, while documentation can be generated in PDF, DOCX, RTF, HTML, ODT, and TXT. Diagram export includes BMP, PNG, JPG, GIF, TIFF, SVG, WMF, EMF, and PDF. That range suits Windows users who want flows connected to larger technical models and source-code work. Teams seeking only lightweight, dedicated flow design may find the broader CASE feature set unnecessary; Software Ideas Modeler is the better fit when diagram variety and software modeling matter together.
