SocialAutoDM review
A low-cost tool for turning matching Instagram comments into public replies and private DMs.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
SocialAutoDM automates comment-to-DM workflows for Instagram Business or Creator accounts and Facebook Pages. It suits creators and small businesses that want to respond to matching comments with a public reply and a private message, often to deliver a link or other information. Instagram triggers come from post and Reel comments containing configured keywords; it is not a general-purpose tool for initiating DMs from other Instagram entry points.
The published plan is SocialAutoDM Premium at $3.99 per month, billed monthly. It includes one connected Instagram account or Facebook Page, unlimited keyword rules, automatic public replies and private DMs, a reply-to-unlock flow, post insights, and email support. There is no free plan or trial; the vendor offers a 14-day refund. The plan’s low monthly price may suit a focused comment-response workflow, but the single-account connection is a constraint for users managing multiple accounts.
Rules support exact, contains, and pattern matching and can apply to one post or all posts. A rule can send a chosen public reply and a private DM, while the optional reply-to-unlock step sends a link after the recipient replies. The dashboard shows post reach, likes, comments, and saves; alerts flag a lapsed account connection, and duplicate comment events do not trigger duplicate DMs. Choose SocialAutoDM for straightforward keyword-triggered comment follow-up. Look elsewhere if you need DM broadcasts or automation triggered by Instagram actions beyond matching post and Reel comments.
