SmoothDraw Studio 5 is a free browser-based drawing studio for solo artists, teachers, and creators who want to sketch without installing software or creating an account. Its drawing tools combine raster brushes with editable vector shapes, and the site says it works on desktop, tablets, and phones. Stylus pressure support for Apple Pencil, Surface Pen, and Wacom devices makes it a fit for users drawing on compatible hardware, while presentation tools also address classroom and demonstration use.

The brush selection is specific rather than expansive: 15 brushes cover pencil, ink, paint, airbrush, and chalk families. Layers are unlimited, with 13 blend modes, and the infinite canvas supports pan and zoom. The HSV color wheel, hex input, and recent swatches support color selection; editable rectangles, ellipses, stars, arrows, and speech bubbles add shape-based work, with snapping for circles and arrows. These tools make the app more than a blank sketch surface, though the published feature set centers on straightforward drawing rather than custom brush workflows.

The product is free and exports to PNG, JPG, and PDF. Chalkboard mode, presenter mode, and board snapshots provide a focused presentation layer for teaching or sharing a drawing in context. SmoothDraw Studio 5 makes sense for casual sketching, classroom demonstrations, and lightweight work that benefits from browser access and stylus input. Artists who need a broader, more configurable brush system or a downloadable desktop workflow should look elsewhere; custom brush creation and importing are not established as part of its toolset.
