Slaide is a presentation authoring tool for people who want AI assistance alongside editable source files. Users can write presentations in plain-text .slaide files, apply YAML themes, or work through the browser, desktop app, and iPhone app. Its AI can plan, theme, write, and review slides from a brief. The product supports PowerPoint and Keynote import, editable PowerPoint export, PDF, HTML, and .slaidec export, plus presenter mode with speaker notes. It fits individuals, technical teams, and developers who prefer presentation-as-code workflows and offline access across web, Windows, macOS, Linux, and iOS.
The plan structure makes Slaide accessible for occasional and offline-first work. Free provides the visual editor, PowerPoint import and export, an open-source language, CLI, and viewer, unlimited decks from supported personal agents, and one cloud-AI deck of up to 10 slides. A Day Pass costs $3.99 one time and provides 24 hours of AI, browser-based deck design, and four AI decks without a subscription. Slaide Hosted costs $9.90 per month and adds 10 AI decks per month, cloud sync, and web sharing while including everything in Free. The published pricing is in USD excluding tax, and App Store pricing can differ in the US region.
Its strongest distinction is the combination of AI authoring with developer-oriented workflows. CLI, MCP server, agent-skill workflows, and integrations for Claude Code, Codex, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, Gemini, Windsurf, and other MCP clients extend the product beyond a conventional slide editor. Offline desktop and mobile viewing, editing, and presenting also suit travel, restricted connectivity, or local authoring. Choose Slaide if editable exports, offline presentation work, and source-controlled or agent-assisted creation matter more than a conventional team workspace. Teams prioritizing real-time multi-user collaboration should choose an alternative focused on that workflow.
