Singularity review
A free mobile companion for automated Vaonis telescope imaging and observation planning.

Singularity is Vaonis’s free mobile companion app for controlling Stellina, Vespera, and compatible Vaonis telescopes. It is intended for telescope owners who want automated setup, alignment, tracking, celestial-object selection, image capture, and processing from an iOS or Android device. The app can be downloaded without a telescope, but most control features depend on compatible Vaonis hardware. It also combines telescope operation with astronomy information, articles, guides, educational content, and observation tools.
Its strongest area is the connection between planning and imaging. Users can review weather, sunrise, sunset, moon phases, and astronomy events, then use Plan My Night to schedule observations. CovalENS supports automated mosaic imaging, while solar observation mode works with compatible Vaonis filters. Expert camera settings and calibration-image capture provide additional control for users who want more than automatic capture. The celestial-object catalog and coordinate pointing also support object selection and targeting within the telescope workflow.
Singularity is a focused choice rather than a general astronomy app. It is built around Vaonis telescope control, so people without compatible hardware will not get the full feature set. The app is mobile-only, does not provide offline access, and requires internet access during use; LumENS AI question answering also requires an internet connection. Optional AI explanations and question answering are available through LumENS, alongside integrations including OpenAI (ChatGPT), AWS, Heroku, and Firebase Analytics. Choose Singularity if you own or plan to use a compatible Vaonis telescope and want automated imaging with scheduling and planning tools. Choose an alternative if you need desktop access, offline operation, or control for other telescope brands.
