Sina Mail is a personal email service from Sina Corporation, founded in 1998, with free mailboxes and paid VIP options. Its free service covers basic sending and receiving, 5 GB of mailbox storage, a deleted-mail folder, and a spam folder with 30-day retention. A phone-number alias is available for eligible registrations. That combination suits people looking for a free mailbox with services tied to the Chinese-language regional ecosystem, rather than a broad cross-platform communications suite.
The practical feature distinction is between everyday mail and added mailbox capacity or recovery. POP collection lets users collect messages from external mailboxes, while Sina lists Weibo and WeChat official account among its integrations. VIP plans add larger attachments, and VIP deleted-mail recovery is available for up to 30 days. The VIP 至尊 plan lists unlimited mailbox capacity, 4 GB large attachments, and 150 GB cloud storage. An official iOS application is available, alongside web and Android access. Buyers focused on ordinary email and POP collection may find the free tier sufficient; those needing the VIP benefits should compare the specific plan terms.
The paid options are harder to evaluate from the published pricing information. Product details name VIP 前程邮箱, VIP 印象邮箱, VIP 商易邮箱 and VIP 至尊; the official App Store listing shows VIP 前程邮箱 at ¥60 per year, while a separate VIP purchase page displays ¥588 per year with different capacity and attachment benefits. These are not directly comparable plan descriptions, so prospective buyers should check the current offer before paying. Choose Sina Mail for its free 5 GB mailbox and regional service connections; consider alternatives if you need clearly comparable VIP tiers or a different platform mix.
