Serato Studio is a desktop digital audio workstation for beatmakers, producers and DJs who work with samples, remixes and DJ edits. Its workflow brings sample chopping, stem separation, drum sequencing, built-in instruments, effects, recording and arrangement into one application. Scenes support idea building, while Song View handles longer arrangements. With MIDI hardware mapping, plugin support and exports for mixes, loops, stems and drum-pad audio, it suits creators who want to move from a sample or rhythm concept toward a finished beat or edit on macOS or Windows.

Its strongest fit is sample-led production. Sample chopping supports up to 16 cue-point sections, and real-time stem separation can isolate vocals, melody, bass and drums. The drum step sequencer includes swing, velocity, grid and piano-roll controls, while audio recording works with microphones, sound cards or vinyl. Built-in instruments, sound packs and effects extend the workspace, and VST3 and Audio Unit support lets producers add compatible third-party plugins. Serato DJ integration also makes the product relevant to DJ-oriented workflows.

Pricing gives buyers several routes. The Free plan includes feature-limited Studio and selected sound packs. The Buy plan costs $149 one time and includes Serato Studio plus all sound packs. Subscribe costs $9.99 per month and adds Serato Sample and Serato Hex FX alongside Serato Studio and all sound packs. A 14-day free trial is also available. Choose Serato Studio for desktop sampling, stem work, sequencing and DJ edits; producers seeking a mobile workflow or a less sample-focused environment should look elsewhere.
