Sclera is a browser-based 2D animation studio for solo creators and small teams that want to create animations without installing desktop software. Its workspace covers projects, scenes, layers, timelines, vector editing, motion tweens, path animation, shape tweens, virtual camera controls, onion skinning, reusable symbols, and audio tracks. Projects save automatically, while animations can be exported as MP4, WebM, or PNG sequences. Sclera is free during its public beta.

Its feature depth is strongest around timeline-based 2D production. Layer folders and audio tracks support structured scene editing, while pen tools and Bézier handles provide vector path control. Motion tweens, path animation, and shape tweens cover several common animation tasks. Virtual camera controls, onion skinning, and reusable symbols add useful scene-management options. AI Director can animate selected objects from plain-language instructions, although the feature is still in development.

Sclera fits creators who want a focused web workflow for straightforward 2D animation, especially when automatic saving, browser access, and practical export formats matter. Its cloud and browser-extension deployment options keep the product centered on web-based access. The trade-off is a narrower ecosystem: integrations and advanced production features are limited, and the product remains in public beta. Choose Sclera for accessible timeline and scene animation in the browser; consider another tool if your work depends on broader integrations or more advanced production capabilities.
