SchoolWeb is a cloud-based website and school operations platform for Australian schools, from small primary schools to multi-campus colleges. Its drag-and-drop editor supports responsive layouts, templates, custom domains, and automatically provisioned SSL. Beyond public pages, schools can manage news, events, term planning, documents, forms, newsletters, portals, enrolment tools, canteen ordering, point-of-sale modules, and virtual tours. Public and private content, role-based permissions, and portals for parents, students, teachers, and staff make it suited to schools that need more than a basic website.

Its main strength is breadth within a school-specific environment. The platform combines a public website with a public or private events calendar, recurring events, calendar sync, a term planner with Word import and CSV export, and forms with file uploads, conditional fields, and payments. Newsletters include creation, delivery, archiving, and tracking. Google and Microsoft single sign-on support the identity layer, while Stripe supports payments. AI features include a page assistant and public chatbot; the SchoolWeb plan also lists an AI assistant and chatbot.

SchoolWeb uses contact-sales, quote-based pricing, with the published SchoolWeb plan including a custom-domain website, drag-and-drop page editor, events calendar with RSVPs, parent portal, AI assistant and chatbot, and Australian hosting. That model may suit schools wanting a tailored set of modules, but it gives buyers less immediate price clarity than a self-serve plan. Schools seeking one system for web publishing, communications, portals, documents, forms, and operational modules should consider SchoolWeb. It is a less natural fit for organizations that need a non-web deployment model or a simpler website-only tool.

SchoolWeb pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Combines website building with portals, forms, calendars, and newsletters
    • Supports role-based document permissions and public or private content
    • Includes school-focused tools such as canteen ordering and term planning
  • Where it doesn't
    • Quote-based pricing requires contacting sales
    • Available as a web platform rather than a wider platform mix
    • Australian hosting and positioning may not suit every school context
