Scanaro review
A focused Android scanner for searchable documents without cloud processing.

Scanaro is an Android document-scanning app from Adeelius for people who want to turn paper documents into searchable digital files without an account or internet connection. It is suited to receipts, identity cards, contracts, class notes, and similar documents. The app detects document edges, corrects perspective, combines pages into PDFs, and exports scans to PDF or plain text. Its focus is narrow and practical: scanning, text recognition, document search, and local file creation.
Its strongest differentiator is offline, on-device processing. Scanaro uses on-device OCR to produce searchable PDFs and selectable text, then lets users search across saved documents. Automatic edge detection and perspective correction address common capture steps, while multipage PDF creation supports longer documents. Because scans and extracted text remain on the device, it fits users who prefer local processing and do not need cloud storage or account-based access. The same focused design may be less suitable for workflows that depend on connected services or broader document-management ecosystems.
Scanaro uses a freemium model, with extra features available through a one-time unlock. It supports PDF and plain-text export, but its platform coverage is limited to Android. There are no integrations, so users looking to move scans directly into other services may need a separate workflow. Choose Scanaro if offline OCR, searchable PDFs, local document search, and Android access matter most. Consider an alternative if you need iOS support, integrations, or a wider cross-platform scanning setup.
