salOWN is browser-based salon operations software for UK barbershops and other beauty businesses. It brings online booking, marketplace bookings, live walk-in queues, staff panels, checkout, payment and tip tracking, loyalty points, client emails, calendar synchronization and reporting into one interface. It is particularly suited to shops that want to coordinate Booksy, Fresha and Treatwell bookings alongside appointments made through their own booking page.

The freemium structure gives smaller shops a way to start with an online booking page and Google and Apple Calendar synchronization. The Free plan supports one barber or stylist. Paid plans start at £29 per month, billed monthly, and add more barbers, unlimited bookings and Stripe no-show deposits. Stripe also supports deposit handling, while salOWN tracks payment methods and tips at checkout. This makes the paid tier more relevant for shops managing multiple staff, higher booking volume or missed-appointment risk.

Its strongest distinction is the combination of marketplace consolidation and in-shop workflow management. Staff receive access controls and individual panels, while automatic emails cover confirmations, reschedules and cancellations. Loyalty rewards and AI analytics add client-retention and revenue-insight features beyond basic scheduling. The platform also offers browser-based staff and client progressive web apps. Shops already dependent on Booksy, Fresha or Treatwell should find the unified view useful; a single-barber shop can begin on Free. Businesses seeking built-in payment processing, a native mobile app or a product beyond its early-access stage may prefer an alternative.
