SAi EnRoute is a Windows CAD/CAM product family for sign shops, CNC operators, fabricators and production businesses making dimensional signs. Its scope covers 2D and 3D drawing, lettering, contours, textures, vectorization, nesting, CNC toolpaths, simulation and machine-driver output. EnRoute Design is positioned for design-only workstations, while EnRoute Complete adds routing, engraving, toolpath and output capabilities. EnRoute Fabrication focuses on 2D cutting and engraving output for laser, plasma and waterjet equipment.

The strongest part of the product is its connection between design and fabrication. EnRoute Complete supports 2D, 2.5D and 3D routing and engraving, automatic toolpathing, 3D reliefs, textures, nesting and advanced text tools. Bitmap vectorization can turn artwork into cut-ready contours, while automatic and true-shape nesting help organize production layouts. Output simulation provides a way to review 2D and 3D machining workflows before machine-driver output. The published plans show a paid product with a starting price of 55.99 and a 7-day free trial; specific plan pricing is not presented here.

EnRoute is a better fit for shops whose work depends on CNC routing, engraving or broader fabrication than for ordinary vinyl-sign production. The product family covers substantial dimensional and machine-output requirements, but it is not positioned as a vinyl cutting or vehicle-graphics application. It runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11, so teams seeking another operating system will need a different option. Choose EnRoute when design, nesting, toolpaths, simulation and fabrication output need to sit in one workflow; choose another sign tool when vinyl or vehicle graphics are the primary job.

  • Where it doesn't
    • Windows-only support limits platform flexibility
