Recover My Files is Windows data recovery software from GetData for recovering deleted, formatted, missing, RAW, or corrupted data. It is aimed at people retrieving photos and other files from hard drives, external USB drives, USB sticks, camera cards, RAID arrays, and supported disk images. Its recovery toolkit includes partition and drive recovery, file carving for lost files, disk-image creation, file preview, validation, search-result filtering, and several ways to browse results.

The freemium structure separates basic recovery from more specialized workflows. Standard covers file and drive recovery, preview and gallery features, disk-image creation, and a license valid for two PCs. Professional includes those features and adds disk-image scanning, RAID recovery, hexadecimal view, and a customizable layout. Technician adds the Professional feature set with a USB hardware activation dongle, portable activation between PCs, and commercial technician use. Evaluation mode lets users locate and preview recoverable files before licensing the software to save recovered data to another drive.

Its strongest fit is Windows recovery where camera-card support, RAID handling, disk images, and detailed result views matter. The combination of previews, file validation, filtering, and gallery, folder, file-type, and date views can help narrow large recovery results before saving. The main boundary is platform coverage: the product is Windows-only. Users who need recovery on another operating system should choose a different tool. Users needing RAID recovery, disk-image scanning, or hexadecimal inspection should also account for the Professional tier, while commercial technicians may need the Technician plan for portable activation and technician use.
