QuizFaber is freeware for creating multimedia quizzes and surveys as HTML pages. It is aimed primarily at schools, universities, and companies that want browser-based assessments running on local computers, local networks or intranets, or the internet. Authors can create multiple-choice, multiple-answer, true/false, open-answer, gap-filling, matching, and custom questions, then add images, sounds, videos, hints, and answer explanations. Quizzes can display all questions on one page or show one question per page.

The free model is the central advantage. QuizFaber provides its listed quiz-building and publishing capabilities without a paid plan, including time limits, numeric grades, weighted scoring, positive and negative points, textual evaluations, and no-evaluation modes. Results can be saved to servers, email, Google Drive, or databases, including MySQL, MariaDB, PostgreSQL, Microsoft SQL Server, and Oracle. Authors can also export quizzes to Moodle and multiple document formats, while result exports support Excel, HTML, log, and database formats. These options make the product a strong fit for varied assessment workflows rather than a narrow multiple-choice tool.

Its trade-off is the publishing model. QuizFaber generates HTML pages with embedded JavaScript, so teams choosing it should be comfortable distributing quizzes through local PCs, an intranet, or their own internet setup. That approach offers control over where quizzes run and where results are stored, but it is less convenient than a cloud quiz maker with a hosted authoring and delivery workflow. The license also requires authorization for commercial use. Pick QuizFaber for free, downloadable HTML quizzes with broad question, scoring, multimedia, storage, and export options; choose an alternative if cloud-first publishing is the priority.
