Quip review
A paid collaboration workspace with deep Salesforce synchronization and embedded CRM workflows.

Quip is Salesforce’s collaboration platform for sales teams and enterprises that need documents, spreadsheets, chat, and CRM-connected workflows in one workspace. It supports real-time collaborative editing, embedded spreadsheets, comments, external sharing, offline mode, version history, and edit diffs. Teams can use templates for account planning, close plans, and case collaboration, while Salesforce users can work with live documents and CRM data in relevant records.
The published plans show a paid-only model. Quip Starter costs $10 per user per month when billed annually and includes unlimited documents and spreadsheets, group chat, one-to-one messages, and access from desktop, tablet, and mobile devices. Quip Plus adds single sign-on, an enterprise API with customization, and Custom Live Apps. Quip Advanced adds live document editing in Salesforce, two-way Salesforce data synchronization, and sales and service use cases. The plan structure makes the Salesforce-specific capabilities especially relevant to organizations evaluating higher editions rather than only a general-purpose document workspace.
Quip’s strongest fit is its Salesforce and ecosystem alignment. It integrates with Salesforce, Okta, Microsoft, OneLogin, and Slack, and is available through the web, Mac, iOS, and APIs. That combination suits teams coordinating sales and service processes around CRM records. It is a less suitable choice for buyers seeking a free starting tier or current native Windows and Android applications, since those applications were retired in June 2024. Choose Quip when Salesforce-connected collaboration is central; consider another collaborative document product when broad device coverage or free access matters more.
