QQueue is an open-source, self-hosted email platform for developers building transactional email workflows and campaign delivery. It combines a transactional HTTP API with API-key authentication, a TypeScript SDK, SMTP-provider delivery, saved templates, contacts, lists, segmentation, scheduled sends, recurring sends, and event tracking. The core platform is licensed under AGPL-3.0 and can be self-hosted for transactional messages and campaigns.

The main commitment is operational rather than licensing-based. QQueue is free to self-host, but it is currently presented as a beta, so the operator is responsible for running the platform and controlling the SMTP-provider infrastructure. Delivery can connect with Mailcow, Amazon SES, Postmark, Resend, Brevo, or SMTP. A managed cloud offering is planned, but it is not available for signup, making QQueue better suited to teams comfortable managing their own deployment and email delivery configuration.

Its strongest area is the combination of queue operations and application-facing email features. Developers get retries, failure monitoring, bounce and unsubscribe suppression, signed outbound webhooks with retries, variable-based templates, campaigns, scheduling, and open and click tracking in one system. Choose QQueue if self-hosting, source availability, provider choice, and control over delivery are priorities. An alternative may fit better for organizations seeking an immediately available managed service or a lower-operations path to transactional email.
