Proto.io is a web-based UI prototyping platform for UX designers, product managers, entrepreneurs, marketers, students, and product teams. Its drag-and-drop editor supports interface construction with component libraries and templates, while interactive links, gestures, events, animations, variables, and reusable containers support more detailed prototype behavior. Projects can be previewed on the web or through iOS and Android Player apps.

Sharing is a notable strength. Proto.io supports public, password-protected, reviewer, snapshot, and live share links, along with comments, discussion threads, and user-testing links. Teams can export prototypes and UI assets to PDF, PNG, HTML, and other formats, and connect workflows with Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Adobe Photoshop, Jira, Confluence, Trello, Google Fonts, and Adobe Fonts. Offline mobile preview adds flexibility when reviewing prototypes away from a browser.

The free plan and 15-day free trial provide entry points for evaluation. Paid plans are organized by team size and project capacity: Freelancer includes 1 user and 5 active projects; Startup includes 2 users and 10 active projects; Agency includes 5 users and 15 active projects; and Corporate includes 10 users and 30 active projects. Each plan includes unlimited reviewers. Proto.io is a strong fit for teams that need sophisticated interactions and controlled sharing, but teams requiring concurrent editing should choose a tool that supports real-time collaboration.
