Protemos is a translation business management system for freelance translators and translation agencies. It organizes client and vendor records, projects, files, assignments, deadlines, quotes, invoices and payments, with reports for income, profit and operations. Its focus is coordinating the business around translation work rather than translating text or providing computer-assisted translation tools. Freelancers and small or midsize agencies that need project and financial administration are its clearest fit; teams seeking translation memory or glossary features should look elsewhere.

The plan structure separates freelance, cloud-hosted agency and self-hosted use. The Freelance plan is for freelance translators, while the Agency trial offers a first month free. After that, the Agency — 3 months plan costs EUR 249 per manager per 3 months, and the Agency — 1 year plan costs EUR 899 per manager per year. The published pricing also gives a starting price of EUR 75 per manager per month with annual billing. A self-hosted installation is available for installation on your server. These options make the agency plans relevant for managers coordinating ongoing work, while freelancers can start with the free option.

For workflow and ecosystem fit, Protemos connects with memoQ, Smartcat, TQAuditor and QuickBooks, and its API can transfer website requests into quotes. Email notifications cover jobs, payments and documents; Excel import and export and PDF document generation support routine administration. That breadth suits businesses looking to keep project coordination, client records and invoicing together. The trade-off is that its feature set is administrative: no translation memory or glossary tools are included. Choose it for managing the business side of translation, not for language assets or text translation itself.
