Polyga PointKit is 3D scanning and scan-data processing software for engineers, manufacturers, researchers, and other 3D professionals. It supports workflows for importing, aligning, cleaning, decimating, remeshing, inspecting, measuring, and preparing point clouds and meshes. Inputs include desktop and laser scanners, 3D cameras, photogrammetry, LiDAR, and other 3D capture devices. The product combines a Windows desktop application with a cross-platform web viewer and SDK, supporting applications such as reverse engineering, metrology, manufacturing, cultural preservation, healthcare, entertainment, defense, and aerospace.
PointKit’s strongest area is its processing depth. Tools cover point-cloud cleanup and outlier removal, mesh and point-cloud decimation, ICP and feature-based alignment, grouping, merging, splitting, meshing, and point-cloud-to-mesh conversion. Measurement tools, geometric primitive fitting, and surface deviation analysis extend the workflow beyond basic viewing. Real-time scan alignment is also included. Export support covers PLY, STL, OBJ, PBN, ASC, E57, LAS, and LAZ, giving users several established formats for downstream work.
The product also fits workflows that need browser access or programmatic integration. PointKit View provides web sharing, while the SDK supports cross-platform development. A free plan is available, and the Premium subscription is priced at $99 per license per month or $899 per license per year. Both listed Premium options include XTract3D 2 and PointKit with a single active license. PointKit suits professionals who need broad capture-device support and a connected point-cloud workflow. Teams needing multiple active licenses or a lower-cost paid option should compare alternatives.
