PollN review
A focused, self-hostable polling tool for interactive presentations and audience Q&A.

PollN is open-source interactive presentation software for presenters who want real-time audience participation without relying solely on a hosted service. It supports open-ended, Q&A, and multiple-choice questions, along with quiz questions that include correct answers. Audiences can join by scanning a QR code, opening a shareable poll link, or entering a poll code. Anonymous responses and optional poll passwords add control over how participants join and respond.
Its strongest fit is a simple presentation workflow. PollN combines live polling, live Q&A, quizzes, and result views in tables and charts, then allows CSV result downloads for further handling. That gives presenters several question formats and practical ways to review responses during or after a session. The web and self-hosted options also suit teams that want to run the software locally with Django and MySQL, rather than using only a hosted web application.
PollN is narrower than a broad audience-response suite: its feature set is centered on presentations, polls, feedback, and quizzes. The product was founded in 2023 and is identified as a personal project, which gives it a relatively young profile. Choose PollN when open-source availability, self-hosting, anonymous participation, and straightforward polling matter most. It is less suited to organizations seeking a wider platform ecosystem or capabilities beyond presentation-focused audience interaction.
