Pointly is a cloud platform and API for classifying and vectorizing large 3D point-cloud datasets. It is aimed at surveying, utilities, rail, roads, cities, and national mapping workflows that need to process airborne, mobile, or terrestrial LiDAR. Teams can classify points with standard or customer-specific models, extract objects as vectors, review data in a 3D viewer, and collaborate through shared projects. The product is available through the web, API, ArcGIS Pro and Bentley MicroStation extensions, or an on-premises Pointly Box deployment.

The published plans cover both exploratory access and larger production workflows. A free account allows three files up to 15 MPoints. Professional S costs €99 per month and includes the 3D viewer, tools, shared projects, standard classifiers, and unlimited projects. Professional M costs €490 per month with the same listed highlights, while Professional M+ costs €790 per month and adds one classifier trained on the customer’s class catalog plus post-processing tuned to the customer’s data. Enterprise uses project volume, annual volume booking, combined packages, and available annotator seats. API pricing is €0.15 per million points for standard classifiers or €0.20 for a custom class catalog.

Pointly’s strongest fit is a classification pipeline that also needs geospatial vector outputs and connections to established design or GIS software. Its API can run from scripts, nightly jobs, or existing software, with no upload ceiling listed for the standard-classifier API. Pointly Box adds a full stack on the customer’s server, including an air-gapped deployment option; the annual license is €19,000, or usage-based pricing is €0.03 per million points. The focus is narrower than a broader point-cloud production suite: verified registration and mesh conversion are not part of the listed capabilities. Choose Pointly for classification, vectorization, collaboration, and deployment flexibility; consider an alternative if registration or mesh workflows are central.
