PodLP is a free podcast app from Last Byte LLC, designed for feature phones, flip phones, Android, and other constrained devices. It supports searching and discovering podcasts, subscribing to shows, streaming episodes, resuming playback from the previous position, and downloading episodes for offline listening. The service is available through web and Android, with deployments that include KaiOS, JioPhone/JioStore, Cloud Phone, and Android flip-phone environments. It is best suited to solo listeners and small-scale use where free access and lightweight device support matter more than video playback or broad platform continuity.

The published free plan includes podcast search, listening, subscriptions, and episode downloads for offline listening. On Android, PodLP also supports automatic downloads, while playback tools include speed controls and a sleep timer. OPML import and export can help listeners move podcast subscriptions, and selected Podcasting 2.0 metadata support covers transcripts, chapters, images, and alternative enclosures. Cloud Phone is an important exception: its deployment does not support offline downloads. Video podcasts are also not supported on the flip-phone platforms described by the vendor.

PodLP’s main distinction is its fit for lightweight hardware rather than a broad multimedia podcast experience. Its catalog connections include Apple Podcasts and The Podcast Index, and the product supports browser, mobile, and cloud-oriented deployment options. Email and documentation are listed as support channels. Choose PodLP if you want a free listening service with offline playback, OPML tools, and podcast features that work across feature-phone and Android-oriented environments. Choose another app if video podcasts, consistent offline downloads on Cloud Phone, or a unified experience across devices are central requirements.
