PhotoCal turns a collection of device photos into a calendar with a cover and 12 monthly pages. It is aimed at Apple users who want to design a calendar for printing themselves, rather than order a finished product inside the app. Photos can be gathered in a per-calendar pool, assigned to months, and adjusted for zoom, position, and brightness. The cover supports a custom title, subtitle, year, and font, while the calendar grid can sit at the bottom or right. Supported-country public holidays are included.

Its strongest fit is the export-and-print workflow. PhotoCal creates print-ready PDFs and individual JPG files bundled in a ZIP, with A4 portrait, A4 landscape, A3, and US Letter formats. The app does not sell printed calendars; exported files can instead be taken to third-party photo services such as dm, CEWE, Rossmann, or Walgreens. That keeps the design and file preparation in one place but leaves printing and ordering outside the product. Choose PhotoCal if you are comfortable handling that final step yourself; look elsewhere if you want a calendar delivered through an integrated ordering flow.

The Apple ecosystem is central to the experience: the app is available for iPhone, iPad, and Mac, and iCloud synchronizes calendars and photos across Apple devices. The developer describes it as a free hobby project with no ads or in-app purchases. Its scope is intentionally focused on photo presentation rather than calendar management: custom events and date customization are not supported. PhotoCal suits someone seeking a personal photo calendar PDF with straightforward layout controls, but it is a poor match for users who need event planning, custom dates, or non-Apple workflows.
