Personal Reminders review
A free Android app for recurring personal prompts, with quiet hours and offline use.

Personal Reminders is an Android app for people who want recurring personal prompts rather than a task list or calendar. It sends notifications at adjustable intervals, stores reminder data locally, and works offline without an account. The app is described as free, with no ads or subscriptions, making its focus straightforward: maintain a set of messages and have them return as nudges on a chosen cadence.
Its reminder controls address interruptions as well as repetition. Intervals can range from 30 minutes to 4 hours, and users can configure quiet hours to pause notifications during set times. A separate temporary pause can use a preset or custom duration. Flexible and precise notification timing modes offer a choice in how reminders are timed. Multiple messages can rotate randomly, which suits people who want varied wording around a recurring prompt rather than the same notification every time.
Message management is more developed than a bare repeating alert: completed messages can be archived and restored, and messages can be exported as plain text and imported later. The tradeoff is a deliberately narrow Android-only scope. There is no location reminder, voice input, or calendar sync, and the documented use is not task planning or scheduling. Choose Personal Reminders for simple, offline personal nudges and adjustable recurring notifications; look elsewhere if reminders need to connect with a calendar, location, or another platform.
