Parallax Studio turns still photos or layered artwork into looping 2.5D parallax animations. It is aimed at creators who want depth-based motion while keeping processing on a local computer. The workflow supports automatic depth generation through Depth Anything V2, Body Relief reconstruction for people, and manual depth painting with adjustable brush controls. Projects can be saved in .parlx format for later editing.

Its strongest advantage is the combination of automatic assistance and manual control. Users can create depth automatically, refine it with painted depth, and shape the animation through controls for focus, path, zoom, loop type, duration, and intensity. Live preview is available at 24, 30, or 60 fps, which helps review motion before exporting. This makes the product a good fit for parallax work that needs more control than a simple preset-based effect.

Privacy and platform fit are central to the product. Processing runs locally, models are stored on the user's machine, and the application works without accounts, API keys, or uploads. The software is free and open source, with no license key, trial, or subscription. It runs on Windows, macOS, and Linux, and exports MP4 or GIF files. Choose Parallax Studio for private, desktop-based depth animation with editable motion controls; consider another tool if mobile access, face animation, or broader export support is essential.
