PaperReady Label Designer is a browser-based tool for people and teams creating address labels, barcodes, QR codes, price tags, and name badges for their own printers. Its editor supports text, logos, shapes, standard or custom dimensions, Avery-style sheets, and continuous rolls. Date and sequential-number fields suit recurring or variable label jobs, while spreadsheet import supports batch output. The combination of a free plan and multiple print formats makes it relevant to solo users and small teams that want more layout flexibility than a fixed template offers.
The free plan includes unlimited label printing, barcode and QR design, auto dates and serial numbers, and spreadsheet batch printing, but it is limited to one workstation and one saved design, with seven-day history. Pro costs $12 per month or $120 per year and adds unlimited saved designs, Shopify auto-print, full searchable job history, and email support. Business is $39 per month or $390 per year; it adds roles and permissions, CSV history export, and priority support. A 14-day free trial is available without a required card. The step-up is chiefly about saved work, store workflow, history, and team administration rather than a different core editor.
For output, labels can be exported as PDFs or sent directly to local printers through the optional desktop Print Bridge; direct printing therefore requires that extra component. The product also offers a local or cloud print API, and Shopify is the named integration. Those options give it breadth across manual design, spreadsheet batches, and automated printing, but the stated integration choice is narrow. Choose PaperReady when custom sizing, sheet and roll layouts, or batch output matter; consider alternatives if your workflow depends on integrations beyond Shopify or on direct printing without Print Bridge.
