Papago is NAVER’s translation software for travelers, business users, students, and general consumers. Available on the web, iOS, and Android, it translates text, images, voice, conversations, websites, and uploaded documents. Its mobile-oriented feature set also includes offline translation, handwriting recognition, pronunciation playback, translation history, favorites, and custom glossaries. That breadth makes Papago a practical fit for people translating signs, conversations, study materials, web pages, and business documents across Asian languages.
The free Papago plan covers text, image, document, and voice translation, with 30 images and 20 documents per month plus one glossary containing up to 10 terms. Plus Basic adds unlimited text translation, 30 documents, 100 web images per month, and one glossary with up to 5,000 terms. Plus Standard raises usage to 70 documents and 500 web images, expands glossaries to ten with up to 10,000 terms each, and adds team management and sharing. Plus Advanced increases the limits to 150 documents, 1,000 web images, and up to 1,000 glossaries, while retaining team management and sharing.
Papago’s standout strength is coverage across translation formats rather than a narrow text-only workflow. Camera and uploaded-image translation support visual content, document translation preserves formatting, and website translation works from a URL. Offline access and conversation translation add value for travel and mobile use. The trade-off is that the free tier has defined monthly limits, while larger glossary capacity and team workflows sit in Plus plans. Individuals, travelers, students, and small teams should consider Papago when mobile and multimodal translation matter most; organizations prioritizing a broad verified integration ecosystem should consider an alternative.
