Panorama Stitcher review
A focused Mac app for automatic spherical and planar panorama stitching.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Panorama Stitcher is a macOS application for combining overlapping photographs into composite panoramas. It is suited to photographers and other Mac users who want automatic stitching for rotated-camera panoramas, scans, microscope images, or aerial maps. The app supports both spherical and planar alignment, making it useful beyond standard landscape panoramas. Panorama Stitcher Mini provides a free entry point with automatic panorama stitching and a five-source-image limit.
Its strongest area is the image-processing workflow. Automatic alignment handles source-photo positioning, while automatic exposure levelling, lens shading correction, and moving-object inconsistency reduction address common issues in multi-image composites. The app supports Mac-compatible image formats, including Apple RAW formats, and offers rectilinear, equirectangular, and stereographic projections. Projection and crop editors provide control over the final composition rather than restricting users to a single automatic output.
Panorama Stitcher follows a freemium model. The full Panorama Stitcher adds spherical and planar stitching, RAW input support, a projection editor, and JPEG, TIFF, and PNG export. That makes it the more suitable choice for users who need format flexibility and control over presentation. The product is a good fit for Mac users seeking a focused panorama workflow with automatic processing and several projection options. Users who need software beyond macOS should choose an alternative, while those working with larger source sets should account for the Mini edition’s five-image limit.
