Pangeanic ECO is a machine-translation platform for freelancers, localization teams, businesses, corporations and public-sector organizations. It supports document translation for DOC, DOCX, XLSX, PPTX, PDF and TXT files, along with text translation through the ECO workflow. Its main distinction is adaptive translation: teams can clone models, specialize them by domain, train translation memory with TMX files, and manage glossaries using CSV, TXT and TSV files. Web, API and self-hosted deployment options cover solo, small, mid-market and enterprise use cases.

The published plans show a clear progression. Standard costs $10 per month or $120 per year and includes the Deep Adaptive model, generic machine translation, CAT-tool integration and technical support. Professional costs $29 per month or $348 per year, adding API access. Premium Deep Adaptive AI Translation costs $130 per month or $1,500 per year and includes 15 concurrent Deep Adaptive models, API access, generic translation for other language pairs and CAT-tool integration. MyMT provides a dedicated machine-learning team, custom integrations, customizable glossaries, and a dedicated account manager and technical support.

ECO fits teams that need more control over terminology, domain behavior and deployment than a basic translation utility provides. Its REST API connects applications, while integrations for SDL, Memsource and memoQ fit established CAT workflows. Private-cloud and on-premises options are relevant for organizations with data-sovereignty requirements, and ISO27001 is listed as a compliance credential. The narrower integration set may be a drawback for teams seeking a broad localization-suite ecosystem. Choose ECO for adaptive, private translation workflows; consider another platform if extensive localization integrations are the priority.

Pangeanic ECO pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Adaptive models can specialize for domains and terminology
    • Private-cloud and on-premises deployment support data-sovereignty needs
    • REST API and CAT integrations support translation workflows
  • Where it doesn't
    • CAT integrations focus on SDL, Memsource and memoQ
    • Advanced plans cost more than the Standard tier
    • Premium and MyMT options may exceed smaller teams' needs
