Orbit by Devotel is an RCS Business Messaging API for brands and developers sending messages through recipients’ native messaging apps. It supports RCS text, rich cards, carousels containing 2–10 cards, suggested replies, and action chips. Verified sender branding can display a business name, logo, and color, while per-recipient capability checks help determine whether RCS is available. Automatic SMS fallback extends delivery beyond compatible RCS recipients. The product is available through web and API access, with two-way messaging, rich media, and AI features included in its category offering.
Pricing is usage-based. Pay-as-You-Go costs $0.01 per RCS message, with no monthly platform fee and prepaid credits. This tier includes RCS, SMS, WhatsApp, email, voice, and other channels, alongside webhook delivery, signature verification, and a real-time analytics dashboard. The published price is a US starter rate, while destination-country rates and volume pricing vary. Enterprise adds custom volume-based pricing, negotiated rate cards, dedicated capacity, contractual SLAs, SSO, SAML, SCIM, RBAC, and on-premises or private-cloud deployment.
Orbit’s strongest technical fit is for teams that need RCS content and operational event handling in one communications platform. HTTPS webhooks use HMAC-SHA256 signatures, and reporting covers delivery, read, and click events. Integrations span SMS, WhatsApp, email, voice, AI agents, and contact-center capabilities, giving multichannel programs a broader path than RCS alone. Teams should choose Orbit when usage-based pricing, fallback, verified branding, and signed event delivery are priorities. It is less suitable for buyers requiring established enterprise compliance today, because SOC 2 Type II remains in planning and ISO 27001 certification has not been pursued.
