OpenSesame is an online course marketplace for organizations and independent learners that need workforce training from multiple publishers. Its catalog spans videos, podcasts, book summaries, simulations, labs, and other learning formats, with search and filtering by topic, publisher, language, format, seat time, skills, ratings, and other criteria. Organizations can license individual courses, buy at volume, or choose an OpenSesame Plus subscription. The product is particularly suited to teams procuring training at scale and delivering it through an existing learning management system.

The published plans support different purchasing models. OpenSesame Plus 100 includes up to 100 active courses, email and chat support, phone support, a customer success manager, quarterly course swaps, and ongoing curation services. OpenSesame Plus Complete adds unlimited active courses and allows courses to be swapped at any time, while retaining the same support and curation services. Pay per use and volume purchase provides individual course licensing, volume purchase options, and quote-based pricing. The plans are flexible for organizations with changing catalog needs, although buyers must work through a sales process to establish pricing.

Delivery and discovery are the platform’s clearest strengths. LMS integrations, SCORM 1.2 and AICC packages, xAPI support, learner activity and completion reporting, curated lists, and natural-language AI recommendations help connect procurement with administration and learning operations. Mobile-compatible playback is available on supported iOS and Android devices, but offline access is not included. Completion certificates are available in CourseCloud Legacy for eligible completed courses. OpenSesame fits organizations that value catalog breadth, curation, and LMS delivery; buyers seeking offline learning or broadly available certificates should consider a more focused alternative.
