Official OET Preparation review
A focused OET resource with authentic tasks, speaking feedback, and adaptive placement.

Official OET Preparation is an online resource from OET for healthcare professionals preparing for the Occupational English Test. Its offering combines self-paced Listening, Reading, and Speaking courses with authentic practice tasks and OET Pulse, an adaptive placement test. The coverage is designed for candidates across OET professions and stays closely focused on the exam’s formats, requirements, strategies, and assessment processes.
The strongest differentiator is the depth of its speaking and placement support. The OET Speaking Course covers the speaking assessment process and the Linguistic and Clinical Communication Criteria, then adds 16 sample tests with assessor scores and comments. OET Pulse uses healthcare-specific scenarios, returns immediate results, and provides preparation feedback based on the placement outcome. Together, these tools can help learners identify a starting point and work through exam-relevant practice rather than relying only on general English exercises.
The breadth is useful within OET, but the product remains a focused web offering. Listening includes format guidance, strategies, authentic tasks, and a self-paced course; Reading adds skimming, scanning, careful reading, strategies, and authentic tasks. The published offer is structured as separate online courses and tools, with prices shown in USD on the OET checkout store and a starting price of 30. Candidates seeking official coverage across these OET components should find the structure relevant. Those preparing for another exam or requiring a platform beyond the web should consider a different product.
