Novelize review
A structured novel-writing workspace for solo authors who want planning tools in the cloud.

Novelize is a web-based writing workspace for hobby writers, fan-fiction authors, and novelists who want one place to plan and draft a manuscript. Its structure centers on scenes and chapters, with a Worldbuilding Notebook for characters, places, and notes. Writers can set word-count goals, work in dark mode, organize story elements by dragging and dropping, and access projects across devices. The product is aimed primarily at solo writers rather than co-authors or writing teams.
The writing workflow is broader than a simple document editor. Outline mode supports early planning, while scene version history helps preserve earlier drafts. Autosave and cloud backups protect ongoing work, and manuscripts, notes, scenes, and chapters can be exported to DOCX. ProWritingAid is the listed integration. These features make Novelize a reasonable fit for writers who want planning and drafting connected, especially when worldbuilding and story organization are as important as prose editing.
Novelize has one paid plan with monthly or annual billing and a 17-day trial. A credit card is required to begin the trial. The service runs on the web and is described as mobile and desktop friendly, while collaboration is not available. Writers seeking a focused solo workspace with cloud access, scene history, and manuscript export should consider Novelize. It is less suitable for writing groups, teams that need shared editing, or authors who require native apps and offline work.
