MyScanPilot review
A capable Apple-only scanner for searchable PDFs and NAS-centered workflows.

MyScanPilot is a document-scanning and organization app for individuals who want to digitize invoices, contracts, receipts, photos, and other documents. It runs on iPhone, iPad, and Mac, with automatic document-edge detection, multipage PDF export, local storage, and on-device OCR. The OCR output can create searchable PDFs, while automatic filenames and labels help organize captured files. PDF password protection adds a control for documents that need restricted access.
The product uses a freemium structure. Free includes local storage, PDF export, and multipage documents, with the free plan allowing five scans or photo uploads per month. Premium adds unlimited scans and photo uploads, OCR and automatic filenames, labels and tags, batch operations, and connections to network and cloud destinations. This makes the plan difference practical: Free covers basic local scanning, while Premium is designed for recurring capture and organized document handling.
MyScanPilot’s strongest fit is its combination of local-first storage and broad destination support. Premium can upload to NAS, WebDAV, Nextcloud, iCloud Drive, Google Drive, Dropbox, and OneDrive, and it also integrates with Microsoft To Do and MyImmoPilot. Apple users who already work with a NAS or self-hosted storage can use those connections alongside searchable PDFs and automatic naming. It is less suitable for Android users, or for anyone who needs more than five monthly scans without moving to Premium. Choose it for Apple-based scanning with flexible storage destinations; choose an alternative if Android coverage is essential.
