MyMajors review
A strong fit for major discovery and institutional matching, with costly paid recruitment plans.

MyMajors is a college and career exploration platform for students, counselors, high schools, colleges, and universities. Students can take a free assessment that uses academic achievement, interests, aptitude, and preferences to recommend best-fit majors, careers, and colleges. The platform also includes profiles for more than 1,800 college majors, career information, college search, and institution-specific assessments for higher-education partners. Access is available on the web, iOS, and Android.
The pricing structure separates the free student assessment from paid recruitment and institutional services. The Annual License costs $500 per year and includes an all-inclusive license with no caps or limits on inquiries or prospects, an email marketing campaign, and a college profile and search listing. A six-month Annual License option includes an all-inclusive license plus a college profile and search listing. The Cost per Inquiry plan is $2 per inquiry, billed monthly, with month-to-month invoicing or annual options. These choices make the product more relevant to institutions generating or managing student inquiries than to individuals seeking a general college-search subscription.
For colleges and universities, MyMajors adds student results dashboards, CSV exports, custom reports, and integration support for API, SFTP, Slate, CRM systems, Shibboleth, ADFS, and LDAP. That ecosystem can support recruitment, advising, retention, and degree-completion initiatives, while institution-specific assessments allow a more tailored experience. Students should choose MyMajors for structured major exploration and matching; institutions should consider it when assessment and inquiry workflows are priorities. Those seeking only broad college research may find the paid institutional offering less suitable.
