My Mind is a free, open-source web application for creating and managing mind maps. It suits individuals and teams that want browser-based mapping with configurable layouts, detailed node styling, local saving, file support, and the option to self-host. Its editor supports node shapes, colors, icons, values, statuses, folding, expansion, undo and redo, plus in-place WYSIWYG text editing.

Storage and platform flexibility are central to the product. Maps can be saved locally or to files, while Google Drive and WebDAV provide additional storage backends. Real-time synchronization is available through Firebase, although that setup requires configured storage and authentication. The web and self-hosted options make My Mind adaptable for users who prefer control over where the application runs and where maps are stored.

File compatibility is another practical strength. My Mind supports its native JSON format, MindMup JSON, FreeMind XML, MindMap Architect XML, and tab-indented plaintext, along with PNG and SVG image export. That breadth makes it a good fit for users moving maps between tools or producing image-based outputs. Choose My Mind if open-source access, self-hosting, editable node detail, and flexible storage matter more than guided presentation features. Users seeking AI assistance or a dedicated presentation mode should choose an alternative.
