Musubi is an open-source shared calendar for households, couples, and other small trusted groups. It brings calendars from Google Calendar, Apple iCloud, Outlook, Microsoft 365, and CalDAV into one two-way-synchronized view. Families can share calendars by invitation and assign owner, editor, or viewer roles. Events can link to multiple calendars without duplication, while tasks, reminders, multiple calendar views, and Android widgets extend it beyond basic event scheduling. It is available through the web and Android, with iOS distributed through TestFlight, and can also be self-hosted.

Its strongest fit is for families with calendars spread across different services. Two-way synchronization with major calendar systems and CalDAV supports mixed-device households without requiring everyone to move to the same provider. Day, week, month, and agenda views give different ways to review schedules, while configurable reminders and the desktop Tasks view cover routine planning. Self-hosting through Docker Compose adds an option for people who want to operate the software themselves rather than rely only on the hosted service.

The hosted service is currently free, with core features remaining free, no trial period, and no active subscription. Musubi is in early access, and a future optional paid subscription is planned without an announced price. Its scope is concentrated on shared calendars, tasks, reminders, and synchronization rather than broader household coordination such as meal or shopping planning. Choose Musubi if free open-source software, calendar interoperability, invitations, and self-hosting matter most. Consider a broader family organizer if your household needs those additional planning areas in the same product.
