MultitrackStudio is audio and MIDI multitrack recording software for home recording and live multitrack work. It combines recording, nondestructive editing, MIDI sequencing, mixing, built-in instruments, audio effects, and audio export and mixdown. Its editor set includes piano-roll, notation, drum, and controller views, making it suitable for users who need both audio production and MIDI arrangement across Windows, macOS, and iPadOS.

The free Lite edition includes audio and MIDI recording with up to 3 tracks. Standard costs €74 as a one-time purchase and adds unlimited tracks, vocal pitch correction, a master limiter, MIDI multi-effect, and punch-in recording. Pro costs €134 one time and adds automation, multichannel audio recording, high bit-depth audio, high sample rates, and a multitrack editor. Licenses include lifetime free updates, and prices include VAT or sales tax. The tier structure makes Standard the main step up for fuller multitrack work, while Pro is aimed at more advanced recording and editing requirements.

MultitrackStudio also fits a broad plugin and MIDI workflow. It supports AU, CLAP, VST, and VSTi plugins, MIDI 2.0, MIDI-CI, groups, effect returns, and separate editors for different MIDI tasks. On iPad, integrations include Audiobus, AudioShare, Inter-App Audio, and CoreMIDI. The focus remains audio and MIDI rather than video or collaboration, so it suits independent producers, musicians, and live multitrack users more than teams requiring shared projects or video production. Choose it for affordable cross-device production with a one-time license; look elsewhere if video or collaboration is central.
