MOVIN Studio review
Full-body and hand capture with cleanup, export and live streaming from a desktop app.

MOVIN Studio is desktop software for markerless human motion capture, used with MOVIN TRACIN hardware. It is aimed at creators and production teams that need to record body and hand movement, map it onto custom characters, clean up motion and send it to other applications. Its scope suits teams looking for a capture-to-export workflow in one desktop tool, rather than software for capture alone.
The workflow spans AI actor calibration, full-body and hand, wrist and finger tracking, clip recording and trimming, and cleanup for foot sliding, jitter and ground penetration. Custom-character retargeting includes FK/IK options, while foot-contact and skeleton visualizations help inspect motion. Clips can be exported as FBX or BVH, or streamed in real time through integrations and OSC. Named connections include Warudo, VRChat, Meligo, Unity, Unreal Engine, Blender, Notch, TouchDesigner, ROS and Isaac Sim. This breadth gives teams several routes into virtual production, animation and simulation workflows; buyers should check that their target applications fit the listed integrations or OSC output.
The Basic plan costs $0 per month and includes markerless full-body capture, FBX and BVH export, live streaming to Warudo, VRChat and Meligo, and 30 minutes of recording per month. Unlimited plans add unlimited capture, hand capture, retargeting, live streaming and new features during the license: they cost $100 per week, $300 per month or $3,300 per year. Perpetual licensing covers the purchased feature set, with maintenance fixes; later features require an Upgrade Package. A 30-day refund applies only to unactivated license keys. Choose MOVIN Studio if desktop capture, cleanup and real-time output align with your production workflow and hardware. It is less suited to buyers who need a free plan without a recording cap or want later features included with perpetual access.
