Moon FM review
A focused podcast player for listeners moving between devices.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Moon FM is a podcast and radio player for listeners who want a consistent listening library across Windows, macOS, iOS, and Android. Its core experience combines podcast discovery, subscriptions, offline episode downloads, and cross-device listening-progress synchronization. It also supports private podcast feeds by URL, OPML import and export, and playback controls including variable speed, fast-forward, rewind, a sleep timer, and an equalizer. That makes it a practical fit for people who prioritize straightforward audio listening across multiple devices.
Its platform coverage is a central strength. Moon FM supports Android, iOS, Mac, and PC/Windows, with CarPlay and Siri Shortcuts listed as integrations. Theme customization and dark mode add presentation options, while offline downloads help listeners continue without an active connection. The combination of OPML support, private-feed access, and device synchronization also suits listeners moving an existing podcast collection between platforms rather than starting from scratch.
Moon FM is narrower than podcast apps that include video or transcript-focused features: video podcasts are not supported, and verified transcripts are not provided. The product is available as a free app, with the Free plan covering podcast playback, offline downloads, and podcast subscriptions. Moon FM Pro is offered as an additional plan, but its additions are unclear. Choose Moon FM if multi-device audio listening, downloads, subscriptions, and flexible playback matter most. Choose an alternative if video podcasts or verified transcripts are essential to your listening workflow.
