Mocha Pro review
A focused tracking and roto toolkit for established post-production pipelines.
Reviewed by iTechGuides Editors · Editorial team · Updated Oct 2026
Mocha Pro is visual effects software for VFX artists, editors, compositors, and post-production facilities working inside established video pipelines. It is available as a standalone application and host plug-in, with tools for planar motion tracking, 3D camera solving powered by SynthEyes, rotoscoping, tracked spline masking, object removal, stabilization, lens calibration, insert compositing, and tracking-data export. Support for Windows, macOS, and Linux makes it suitable for mixed-platform teams.
Pricing is subscription-based, with an Individual host subscription at $48 per month or $325 per year. Both plans provide a plugin for supported individual hosts. There is no free plan, while a 14-day free trial gives prospective users a limited period to evaluate the product before subscribing. For buyers already working in supported host applications, the annual option lowers the effective monthly cost compared with monthly billing.
Its main advantage is breadth within tracking and roto work rather than general-purpose editing. PowerMesh handles organic and warped-surface tracking, while AI-assisted Object Brush and Matte Assist support masking tasks. Integrations include After Effects, Premiere Pro, Avid Media Composer, Autodesk Flame, Boris FX Silhouette, Foundry Nuke, Blackmagic Fusion, VEGAS Pro, and SGO Mistika. Choose Mocha Pro when planar tracking, camera tracking, roto, cleanup, stabilization, or lens tools need to fit an existing pipeline. Buyers seeking a free option or a broader standalone video-production suite should look elsewhere.
