Microsoft Learn for Azure is a web-based training platform for people developing Azure skills, including beginners, developers, administrators, architects, and data professionals. Its content covers Azure services, technical roles, skills, and credentials through self-paced modules, learning paths, instructor-led training, interactive labs, certification-related study paths, and practice assessments. Learners can also use learning plans, collections, and progress tracking to organize their study.
The pricing model is straightforward: Microsoft Learn training is free. The published offering includes self-paced web-based training, Azure learning paths and modules, interactive labs and Azure sandboxes, certification preparation resources, and practice assessments without a paid product tier. Azure services and certification exams may involve separate costs, so the platform is best understood as a free learning and preparation resource rather than an all-inclusive certification or cloud usage package. This makes it a practical choice for learners who want structured Azure education without a training subscription.
Its strongest fit is the Azure ecosystem. The platform combines learning paths, role- and skill-oriented content, instructor-led options, certification study resources, practice assessments, and progress tracking in one web experience. That breadth supports both initial learning and credential preparation, while the Azure focus keeps the material aligned with Microsoft’s cloud platform. Choose Microsoft Learn for Azure if your target skills, projects, or certifications center on Azure and you value free access to structured learning. Choose another platform if your priority is comparable training across multiple cloud providers rather than a dedicated Azure curriculum.
