MentorPRO is a mentoring-program platform from MentorPRO, LLC, founded in 2022 and based in Boston. The company says it was created by mentoring researcher Jean Rhodes and software engineer Nancy McNamara. It targets universities, youth organizations, alumni programs and workforce initiatives. Named users and partners shown publicly include UMass Boston, Step Up, Northeastern University, Keystone State ChalleNGe and Big Brothers Big Sisters Wisconsin Shoreline. LinkedIn lists 11–50 employees and MentorPRO says it has more than 50 university, nonprofit and government partners.
The product covers the core administration work: customizable matching, one-to-one and group formats, secure messaging, video meetings, scheduling, weekly check-ins, goals, surveys, dashboards and exports. MentorPRO Academy supplies courses for mentors, mentees and staff, while MentorAI summarizes mentee information and suggests research-informed responses. Peer-reviewed studies by co-founder Jean Rhodes's research group at UMass Boston, in the Journal of Technology in Behavioral Science and the Journal of Community Psychology, examined MentorPRO use with first-year students; a 2026 study of 5,782 students found goal use associated with higher academic self-efficacy and life satisfaction, a correlational result. G2, Capterra, GetApp and Software Advice each show 4.9/5 from 10 reviews, but G2 marks many as seller-invited and some as incentivized.
Pricing is not published on MentorPRO’s own site. G2 reports a $524 Lite edition for 101 mentors and mentees per year, while Software Advice says custom quote, so buyers should request a written proposal. The mobile experience deserves testing: Apple shows 4.0/5 from 16 ratings, while Google Play shows 2.8/5 from 23 reviews with recent reports of crashes, forced updates and sign-outs. Programs needing transparent pricing, a larger independent review base or a consistently rated mobile app should compare MentorPRO with Mentorloop, MentorcliQ or Together.
