MegaSeg Pro is macOS software for professional mobile and club DJs, VJs, radio stations, broadcasters, and hospitality businesses. It combines live and automatic audio mixing with playlist generation, event scheduling, audio and video playback, sound-effect triggers, request lists, streaming workflows, and library management. The dual-deck design supports real-time waveforms, cue points, looping, automatic and manual crossfades, and beat matching, while video playlists extend the workflow beyond audio-only DJ software.

The published plan structure is straightforward: MegaSeg Pro costs $199 as a one-time purchase and includes pro DJ and radio automation, audio and video mixing, playlist scheduling and events, and library syncing between MegaSeg systems. Apple Music and iTunes playlist integration supports library-based preparation, while SHOUTcast and Icecast connect with live streaming workflows. AirPlay and Bluetooth are also supported, and multiple outputs allow previewing and cueing tracks. This makes the product a fit for Mac-based setups that need programming, playback, and distribution features in one application.

MegaSeg Pro’s strongest distinction is its breadth across DJ, VJ, broadcast, and hospitality use cases. Category rotations, timed events, request lists with popup reminders, hot-key sound effects, network logging, and library syncing support scheduled or semi-automated operation rather than just manual track transitions. The tradeoff is platform scope: it is designed for macOS, and its automation and video capabilities may be more than a straightforward live-mixing workflow requires. Choose it for Mac-centered audio-video programming and radio-style automation; consider a different DJ tool if cross-platform coverage or a narrower live-performance focus matters more.

MegaSeg Pro pros and cons

  • Where it wins
    • Dual decks with beat-matched crossfades, waveforms, cue points, and looping
    • Audio-video mixing with HD/4K playback and multiple outputs
    • Playlist automation, scheduling, requests, streaming, and library syncing
  • Where it doesn't
    • Runs on macOS rather than multiple desktop operating systems
    • No free plan; the Pro license costs $199 one time
    • Its broad automation focus may exceed the needs of basic live mixing
