MathVoice for Microsoft Word is an Office task-pane add-in for creating and editing mathematical equations inside Word. It suits Word users who prefer dictating equations, as well as people comfortable editing LaTeX. Users can speak equations with a microphone or type in the embedded MathVoice Studio, then insert the result as native, editable Word OMML. It can also load an existing document equation for re-editing. The add-in is documented for Word on desktop, iPad, and the web, and requires Word 2016 or later or a Microsoft 365 subscription.

Its main distinction is the equation workflow: MathVoice converts LaTeX to MathML and then to OMML in the browser, so equations are inserted in Word's native editable format rather than as images. LaTeX editing is available alongside voice dictation, and existing equations can be brought back into the editor. This focus is useful for users who want to create or revise math directly in a Word document. It is not a fit for workflows centered on OCR or handwriting input, which are not supported.

The published plans show a Free tier at $0 per month with all API endpoints, Studio, and community support. Starter is $19 per month and adds email support, a 99.9% uptime SLA, and instant API key reveal; Professional is $49 per month and adds priority support, a usage dashboard, and a DPA on request. Enterprise adds dedicated SLA, SSO / SAML, FERPA compliance documents, OEM / white-label, and custom integration support, with no listed price. These paid plans price the broader MathVoice service/API, not a separately priced Word add-in. Choose MathVoice for voice-plus-LaTeX editing inside Word; look elsewhere if handwriting, OCR, or an independently priced add-in is central.
